Apple Halwa

Apple 3
Sugar 1 cup to 1.5 cup adjust as per requirement
Ghee 1/4 cup
Nuts and raisins roasted in ghee 3 spn
Cardamom powder 1/2 spn

Peel the apples.. cut and grind it into a smooth paste..
Do not add water..
Heat a heavy bottom pan or non stick pan
Add the Apple paste..
Cook until raw smell leaves…
Add sugar at this point..
Cook well..
Once the sugar melted add ghee little by little..
And saute continuously..
Once it starts thickness add the nuts and raisins..add cardamom powder too..
Wait for halwa consistency..
Turn off and transfer into a serving bowl..
Serve hot or cold..

Badam Halwa

Raw badam 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Ghee 1/2 cup
Milk 1/4 cup
Saffron 1/2 spn
Salt a pinch

Soak badam in hot water for half to 1 hour..
Remove the skin from badam and grind it with little water..
Don’t grind as fine paste.. it should be little coarse..

Heat milk in a nonstick pan
While milk boiling add the badam paste..
Mix well.. use medium flame..
When it start observing the milk add saffron..
Mix well for few minutes.. add 3 spn of ghee..
Add a pinch of salt..
While the raw smell leaves add in sugar..
Mix without stopping for 5 to 7 minutes..
Add the rest of the ghee..
Mix well until it comes to halwa consistency..
It will bind well with ghee and sugar..
At the end it will not stick with pan..
Remove and pour it into a serving bowl..
Garnish with thinly sliced badam and saffron..
Once it cool down badam halwa is ready to serve..

Cornflour Halwa

Corn flour 1 cup
Sugar 3 cups
Food color 1 pinch
Water 4 cups
Elachi powder 1/4 spn
Cashew 10
Ghee 3 spn

Take a microwave safe bowl
Add corn flour, water , sugar, food color
Mix everything well without lumps
Keep it in microwave high for 4 minutes
Mix again
Then keep it for 2 minutes
Mix again
Microwave for 6 more minutes mix in the middle every 2 minutes

Heat ghee in a pan
Mix cashew and elachi powder
Spread it in a tray
Put the cooked halwa and mix once

Keep it cool
Make pieces and serve

Lapsi or Broken Wheat Halwa

Broken wheat 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Hot Water 2 1/2 cups
Ghee 1/4 cup
Nuts for garnishing

Heat a heavy bottom pan
Add ghee
Add broken wheat
Fry in high flame until it turns pink color
Add hot water now
Cook in medium flame until water evaporates
Add in sugar
Mix well until sugar melts
Switch off the flame
Garnish with cashew, badam and pista

Lapsi ready to serve ….

Beetroot Halwa

Finely grated beetroot 2 cups
Sugar 1/2 to 1 cup
Milk 2 cups
Ghee 3 spn
Cashew , raisins few
Elachi 3 ( crush finely)

Heat a heavy bottom or nonstick pan
Add a spoon of ghee
Add cashew and raisins
Fry well and keep aside
In the same pan add grated beetroot
Fry until raw smell leaves from it
Add milk and cook well Until the milk evaporates
Add sugar in this stage
Cook again
U will get a thick consistency
Add fried cashews raisins and crushed elachi and ghee
Mix well for few minutes
Serve hot ….

Banana Halwa

Banana 5 to 6
Sugar 1 cup
Ghee 6 to 7 spn
Cornflour 2 spn optional
Water 2 spn
Cashew raisins 2 spn

Mix cornflour with 2 spn of water and keep aside..
Peel the banana and mash it well.. or put it in mixi and make it as fine paste..
Heat a pan
Add a spn of ghee
Roast cashew and raisins and keep aside..
In the same pan add mashed banana..
Cook well for 5 to 6 minutes until the banana color change..add sugar in this stage..
Let it melt completely..
Add the cornflour water mix well..
Add ghee little by little stir continuously..
At one stage ghee will separate from halwa..
Turn off and transfer into a serving bowl..
Corn flour is purely optional.. it gives a glossy texture to the halwa..
Use nonstick pan for good results..
Yummy banana halwa ready…

Wheat halwa easy version

Wheat halwa easy version

Wheat flour 1 cup
Sugar 2 to 3 cup
Water 7 cup
Ghee 1 cup
Cardamom powder 1/4 spn optional
Roasted cashew 8 to 10

Mix wheat flour with water without lumps..
Heat a pan
Add the wheat water stir continuously until it becomes thick.. it will take almost 5 to 7 minutes.. or little more..
Add sugar now .. stir continuously.. once the sugar combined it will become little thick consistency..
Add ghee at this stage..
Cook until ghee separate from the halwa..
Add nuts now.. add cardamom powder too..mix again..
For the color of halwa we can add edible food color or
Make sugar caramel for natural color.. its its purely optional..
For sugar caramel
Add 3 spn of sugar and a spn of water..
Cook until it turns brown.. add immediately to the halwa before adding ghee..

Yummy and easy halwa ready…
